McCordsville, Indiana Pet Resources

Visitors from McCordsville often tell us how much they and their dogs enjoy the time they spend in Beverly's Pet Campus Bark Park. The fully-enclosed, 5 acre park allows them freedom and security rarely found at public parks and facilities.

However, we understand that not everyone can come to the Fishers campus as often as they would like. To help our friends in McCordsville find outdoor alternatives to Beverly's Bark Park that they can enjoy with their pets a little closer to home, we provide information about local parks they can visit when they can't make it to Beverly's Pet Campus, as well as local resources, such as Pet Stores, veterinary care, dog adoption and pet rescue services, and dog-friendly events throughout Indiana.

Dog-Friendly Parks near McCordsville

McCordsville is still young and going through the usual growing pains. Within an easy commute to big brother Indianapolis, McCordsville, Lawrence, and other surrounding communities, the people of this active little burg take full advantage of area parks and recreation facilities. It is this proximity, in fact, more than any other single factor, which accounts for most of its astonishing prosperity.

Fort Harrison State Park

Landmark Park is located at Staat St. and Veteran's Court in Fortville, just east of Main Street. This park features a monument to United States veterans, not unlike the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in downtown Indianapolis, a beautiful gazebo, a winding network of walking paths, and some grassy open spaces where children can play sports.

Fort Harrison State Park encompasses a large portion of the northeast Indianapolis area. It  is the largest park in the area, covering 1,700 acres of woodland, open green spaces, lakes, waterways, hiking, biking, and walking trails, and other amenities. Picnic tables, shelter houses, and more make Fort Harrison State Park in Lawrence a great place to visit.
